The Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee has endorsed Councilmember Dan Bostrom for re-election to the Saint Paul City Council.
"Dan Bostrom is a proven supporter of business growth and economic investment in Saint Paul. Dan has been a friend of small businesses on our city's commercial corridors, and a dependable ally for larger businesses that seek to invest in Saint Paul. He understands the importance of economic development in neighborhoods and downtown. Through his work as a Port Authority commissioner, he has worked hard to return new manufacturing businesses - and the jobs they provide - to the Eastside and throughout Saint Paul," said Louis Suarez of Colliers International and chair of the Chamber's PAC.
Saint Paul's firefighters union with approximately 400 members has endorsed Dan's re-election to the City Council. Saint Paul's firefighters, medics, and support staff operate 15 fire stations throughout Saint Paul, including five that serve the Eastside.
Firefighters union president Mike Smith said "Councilmember Bostrom's longtime support of public safety and Firefighters has earned our support of his re-election effort. We are pleased to stand with Dan!"
"I am grateful to my friends in the Firefighters for their support. I am truly honored and gratified by their endorsement. I will continue to work hard in support public safety and public health on the Eastside and throughout Saint Paul," said Councilmember Bostrom.

Saint Paul City Councilmember Dan Bostrom has received the endorsement of theDFL Veterans Caucus for this year's November election.
In a letter announcing the endorsement, Caucus Chair Tom Hamilton and Caucus Vice Chair Cheryl Poling wrote:
"In recognition of your years of service to the veterans community in Saint Paul it is our distinct pleasure to offer you the endorsement of the DFL Veterans Caucus in your race for re-election to the Saint Paul City Council. We feel that you bring the experience, dedication and vision to the table that would serve the city in advocating for veterans and military families and would be honored if you would accept our endorsement for your election."
Their letter continued "Good luck and thank you again for your willingness to serve. We seek to build connections and relationships to advocate for veterans and military families at all levels of government and look forward to working closely with you in the future."
"I would like to thank the members of the DFL Veterans Caucus for the endorsement they have bestowed upon my campaign. I am grateful for your support, but most grateful for your service to our country," Bostrom said.
Councilmember Bostrom has been an advocate for veterans a military families during his time on the Saint Paul City Council. He was instrumental in the city's recognition of the sailors who served on the U.S.S. Saint Paul at City Hall.
In 2005, Bostrom traveled to Indiana to represent the City of Saint Paul during the recognition of the crew of the U.S.S. Indianapolis, the U.S.S. Saint Paul's sister ship.
Saint Paul City Councilmember Dan Bostrom has been endorsed for re-election by the Saint Paul Police Federation.
The Federation represents over 650 police officers and emergency communications workers in Saint Paul.
"Your support and commitment to a safer Saint Paul is impressive and appreciated by our organization. We strongly believe your leadership will benefit our city, citizens and members. We look forward to working alongside you, towards your victory in November," wrote President David Titus in a letter announcing the endorsement.
Councilmember Bostrom is a retired Saint Paul police officer, serving 26 years on the force. He has worked to make Saint Paul a safer, more welcoming city during his tenure on the city council.
"Public safety and welfare are the most basic responsibility of city government. Before we can do all the great things that make our city first class and our neighborhoods better, we need to make sure that homeowners, business owners and families believe their investments in the neighborhood are safer and protected," he continued.

Councilmember Dan Bostrom received the DFL endorsement at the Ward Six convention in late February at Hazel Park Preparatory Academy on White Bear Avenue. Dan was the overwhelming favorite of the assembled delegates, receiving over 80% of the vote to win endorsement on the first ballot. Former Saint Paul Planning Commission chair George Johnson placed Councilmember Bostrom's name into nomination. Speaking on behalf of Dan were:

Dr. Delores Henderson, local principal who told the audience of Dan's work on behalf of local school, both as a school board member and a now city councilmember.
Councilmember Bostrom addressed the convention after their overwhelming endorsement and thanked everyone for their support.
ELECTRICIAL WORKERS ENDORSE DAN!
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Minnesota State Council has endorsed the re-election effort of Saint Paul City Councilmember Dan Bostrom.
"I am pleased to inform you that the IBEW MN State Council (MSC) voted to endorse your bid for re-election to the Saint Paul City Council. Teamsters Local 120 has endorsed Councilmember Dan Bostrom for re-election.

The Saint Paul area local of the National Association of Letter Carriers has endorsed Councilmember Dan Bostrom for re-election.
Branch 28 President Dan Garhofer wrote on behalf of his members:

New Labor Endorsement
The Saint Paul Building & Construction Trades Trades Council, which represents working men and women throughout the East Metro area has endorsed the re-election of Saint Paul City Councilmember Dan Bostrom. The Council consists of thousands of member pipefitters, carpenters, plumbers, operating engineers, painters, insulators, electricians, ironworkers, roofers, laborers and others.
As city councilmember for Ward 6, Bostrom has supported many important building projects that bring quality jobs, new housing choices and improved infrastructure to Eastside neighborhoods. These important investments have benefited not just the Eastside, but Saint Paul as a whole.
Some of the most recent successes have included:
- Phalen Park stone arch bridge and waterfall renovations
- Street repaving, new lighting curb and gutter in the Wheelock Parkway area

Nurses Back Bostrom
The Minnesota Nurses Association has announced their endorsement of Councilmember Dan Bostrom for re-election to the Saint Paul City Council.
"On behalf of 20,000 nurses in Minnesota, we are proud to announce that we have endorsed your candidacy for St Paul City Council. Our endorsement reflects our whole-hearted support for your candidacy," wrote Rose Roach, the executive director of the Minnesota Nurses Association.
The letter continues "Thank you for your service and for your dedication to issues which are important to nurses patients and working families. We look forward to working with you in 2015 and beyond."
Councilmember Bostrom thanked the nurses for their support saying "I am gratified by your support. To have the endorsement of people who work everyday to make lives better is an honor."
St. Paul AFL-CIO Endorses Bostrom
With precinct caucuses less than a week away, the Saint Paul AFL-CIO Regional Labor Federation has endorsed Councilmember Dan Bostrom for re-election in Saint Paul's Ward 6.
The Federation has over 100 member unions, representing more than 50,000 union members in the Saint Paul area. These include teachers, building and construction trades workers, printers, public employees, firefighters, machinists, and more.
